On March 8, International Women’s Day, the Hand in Hand platform focused on the theme “Women whose rights to freedom, motherhood, and life in general are denied.” To highlight the rights taken away from women and discuss the necessary steps for humanity, we created a special WhatsApp group. This group brought together volunteer participants from other groups within our platform for an exchange of ideas.
As part of our activities, we prepared a video featuring photos of women struggling to survive in the midst of the war in Ukraine, narrated with a text specially written by one of our educators. Another educator presented a text about women who hold on to life despite their disabilities, also accompanied by a video. Additionally, a poem written by one of our educators for women in Turkey whose rights have been unjustly denied was presented with a video.
We shared all these efforts on our social media accounts using special hashtags (#tags) for this special day, aiming to reach a broader audience and raise awareness.
