“There is nothing like it on earth…”

On December 3, World Day of Persons with Disabilities, the rights of persons with disabilities are being discussed all over the world. However, there is such a group of people who are imprisoned in Turkey, dismissed from their jobs by the state of emergency decrees, ostracized from society and forced to go abroad. Havva Çiftçiler and Şeref Demirtaş both faced unlawful practices after the State of Emergency and had to start a new life abroad. Teacher Havva Çiftçiler and lawyer Şeref Demirtaş talked to journalist Fuat Karazeybek about their experiences, rights violations against the disabled in Turkey and the Hand in Hand Platform they founded in Germany.
